Sanders McGarvey LLP partner Michael Sanders has been asked to speak at the 31st annual Energy Law Institute for Attorneys and Landmen.
The two-day event presented by the Harry L. Reed Oil & Gas Law Institute will take place at the South Texas College of Law in Houston on August 29 and 30.
Michael is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 1:00 p.m. covering the important legal topic of working interest disputes.
The issue of working interest is especially important in today’s booming oil & gas industry. Financial disputes regularly arise between working interest owners with an ownership interest in a lease and the lessee who is granted the right to explore, drill, and produce on leased land.
With more than 20 years of legal experience in the energy and oil & gas industries, Michael is a natural fit to address working interest disputes and answer critical questions from practitioners in the oil & gas industry.
During his career, Michael has litigated cases involving energy agreements (including oil & gas leases, joint operating agreements, exploration agreements, drilling contracts, and service contracts), mineral disputes (such as royalties, surface access, and title questions), and purchase and sale agreements.
