Sanders McGarvey LLP partner Cassandra McGarvey was honored by the Houston Bar Association (HBA) for the second consecutive year for her leadership on the Eikenburg Law Week Fun Run Committee.
Cassandra was recognized with the Houston Bar Association’s President’s Award for exemplifying outstanding leadership as co-chair of the committee.
Joined by co-chairs John Strohmeyer and Kimberly Chojnacki, Cassandra helped raise a record amount of $78,000 to benefit The Center, which is a non-profit agency that provides resources to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful and dignified lives.
Over the past two years as co-chair of the committee, Cassandra has helped raise $140,000 for this wonderful cause.
“Cassandra’s exceptional leadership both at our firm and outside of our firm made it clear that she was a great choice to become a named partner of our law firm earlier this year,” says Sanders McGarvey LLP partner Michael C. Sanders. “I am proud that Cassie will continue navigating legal issues for our clients with the same dedication and integrity that gained her recognition by the Houston Bar Association.”
The Fun Run Committee has served a valuable role in the Houston legal community for more than 30 years. As a named partner of our law firm, we are proud of Cassandra’s work supporting a great cause in the city of Houston.
